Zurück zur ÜbersichtLHI Euronationale Spedition GmbH @ transport logistic 2023 Munich HELLO MUNICH! HELLO TRANSPORT LOGISTIC 2023! WE’RE COMING….AND WITH US CONCENTRATED CARINTHIAN LOGISTICS COMPETENCE! This also applies to LHI Euronationale Spedition GmbH. We introduce: Founded in 1986 under the management of the managing director Franz Josef Hütten, the forwarding company of the same name started as a haulage company with warehouse logistics. The age of globalization and rapid technological progress led to dynamic changes in the logistics industry. The company got a new face in 2004 with Mr. Helmut Kurth as managing director. The previously existing core competencies shifted to the following areas: REWE import and procurement logistics. In 2007, the company name was changed to LHI Euronationale Spedition GmbH with headquarters in Cologne and the simultaneous opening of another branch in Fürnitz with a focus on the Austrian market, ITA import and Ro/Import/Export. At the end of 2011, another branch was opened in Munich. From here, LHI competently and reliably covered the Balkan market with its services. In 2014, the company management got active reinforcement on board with a second managing director, Andreas Pozder. Today, LHI Euronationale Spedition GmbH is a healthy, medium-sized company that has developed into a service provider for trade and industry operating throughout Europe. With tailor-made transport and logistics concepts, the company has doubled its turnover since 2011 and is proud of its constantly growing and renowned clientele. You can find more information here: https://www.lhi-logistik.eu/ On this occasion we also interview the managing director of the Fürnitz branch, Rene Tarmastin: Mr. Tarmastin, you have been at home in the world of forwarding for a long time. Was it clear to you from the start that you would one day be the managing director of a forwarding company with German roots? No, when I was a student, 40 years ago, I met a Sir, a pioneer in the trucking industry. The Sunday afternoon talk over coffee and cake about forwarding and transport fascinated me so much that I wrote an initial application. I gave up my studies a few weeks later and have been addicted to this industry ever since. How did you achieve growth and how do you deal with the inevitable changes caused by pandemics, war and climate change in day-to-day business? We have always faced customer requirements and have grown with our customers. How do we deal with change? There’s a good saying: you can’t command the wind, but you can reset the sails. For this you need well-trained employees with whom you can handle the logistics of tomorrow – how do you find them with the current shortage of skilled workers? We dealt with the issue of a shortage of skilled workers very early on. We were certainly one of the first companies in Carinthia to use a video to present the future workplace of an apprentice. A good working atmosphere shouldn’t just be lip service, you have to live it. How is your climate-friendly action received by your customers? Is “green logistics” really a competitive factor, or does the widely praised climate protection stop where it becomes expensive for us personally? Our customers take a very positive view of our efforts to shift the flow of goods from road to rail, since we are primarily trying to reduce empty runs on conventional railway wagons. We also regularly finance reforestation projects in Carinthia. Finally, what is the first thing you do when you walk into your office? I greet each employee and exchange a few words with him/her. In our size, thank God, that’s still feasible. Thank you Rene Tarmastin! If you would like to learn more about the company and its strategy, the best thing to do is to visit us at our booth no. 232, hall B5! We are waiting for you!
